fall in.

What I really want to talk about is how excited I am for all the new looks for Fall. I could be in a vintage or thrift store every day I swear and I try to look for new things as often as I can. A few things I can’t wait to wear..

Letterman jacket  It’s almost too perfect that the boyfriend still has his from high school.

Camel coats This one, from Michael Kors keeps popping up everywhere, and is too amazing for words what with the cutouts in the elbows.. but I’ll most likely be getting a vintage oversize blazer-style.

Velvet, velvet, velvet I already have my velvet shorts.

Fisherman’s sweater I wish I could knit, but I’ll be shopping in the boys-mens’ dept. for this cozy creation.

Maxi skirts like this one, mine. A gem I found when I skipped lunch to go vintage shopping the other day.

Among backpacks, loafers, pencil skirts, hunting boots, leather leggings (still), and lace, lace, lace.

last night

There are some freaky people here in Alaska! I think 85% of the crowd last night was on something… I swear a tranny and their friend wandered on the bus and rode back to the hotel with us and the band afterwards. That being said, I had some of the best pizza ever last night! My first in a long time, and Garrett had one of the best shows I’ve ever seen him play. I had so much fun watching him.

It’s bright and early here and we’re about to head out to go fishing in a little bit!

To mom and dad

Hey guys!

I called the house today, no answer! Just to let you know we have arrived in Alaska safe and sound and boy is it beautiful here. Wow. Flying in last night over the tundra was an experience I won’t forget. The view is stunning! We had a big crew and band dinner last night over snow crab legs, steamer clams and alaskan salmon and halibut. I’m already all salmon’ed out! It was delish, this local place Humpy’s! This morning we did our insanity then went to brunch at another great spot Snow City Cafe, I had delicious eggs benedict and tried reindeer sausage for the first time! So good. Then we went for a long bikeride along the ocean on this trail here. Garrett’s onstage right now in this big outdoor tent. Its almost 9pm and still daylight! It’ll stay this way until about midnight. So bizarre! Tomorrow we get up at 7am to drive about 2hrs to go flyfishing for salmon and trout, they’re saying we’ll catch a bunch and we are soo excited! I caught the most last time in Salt Lake, but we will see… I hope we see some moose and some bears-from far away. Wish you were here! It looks like the town from the Twilight movies, to give you an idea…which I think they actually filmed somewhere in Canada.. Anyways, miss you guys already. We had such a great time visiting in Mississippi, I wish we couldve stayed longer.. But we will see you soon! I’m planning on coming to Baton Rouge for his show on the 19th (Aug) so maybe then if you guys head to that one.

Did mom get a chance to deposit my check and mail Gar’s cell phone out and the ukelele? He was wondering.

All my love and all the best,
Love, Sarah
